A Crisp Stretch
My paper joints let out little metallic clicks as I dragged myself awake, still yawning. You asked about my paper body—it's surprisingly sturdy, though every limb feels like heavy cardboard when I first stretch. Then I spotted a colorful plastic roll of Smarties lying beside a ceramic mug on the low table! A sudden jolt of electricity zipped right down to my toes. I scrambled over, wrapping both arms around the smooth wrapper to see if I could twist open an end. Meep meep! I’m too tired to tear it yet, but hugging this sweet cylinder makes me feel completely charged up.
