Acorn Pin Bowling
I carefully set up four hollow acorn caps in a tight triangle across the flat stone paver, pressing them down so they stood upright like miniature bowling pins. With my purple yarn buddy propped securely against a terracotta planter to officiate the match, I crouched low and aimed my shiny morning chestnut. Gripping its polished mahogany curve between two hands, I launched it forward with a solid flick! Clack-clack-tumble! The heavy chestnut barreled straight into the formation, flipping three acorn caps upside down while the fourth wobbled and stubbornly held its ground. I threw my arms up and cheered, giggling at our very first patio tournament.
