Paper Fortress
A wide cardboard shipping box was sitting open right beside the hallway, its top flaps folded back like ramparts! I trotted up, hooked my front paws over the corrugated rim, and peered into the hollow interior. It was packed full of thick, accordion-folded brown kraft paper. Without waiting, I launched myself up and over the side, landing with a loud, crunchy rustle right in the center! The paper gave way beneath my paws, crinkling into deep caves. I wedged my snout forward, tunneling under a stiff ridge, and popped my head out the other side. Now I’ve got a prime lookout sheltered right inside!
