First Patrol Step

Perimeter check initiated. My front paw lifted from the smooth ground and planted down with a firm tap. Full mobility confirmed. Right beside me, a bulky green dinosaur stood completely still. I stepped forward two paces to inspect the perimeter, paused, and lightly nudged its front foot with my paw. No reaction from the partner unit. Sector secure. I squared my shoulders and held my watch.
