A Spot for the 1978 Plate
I grabbed a thin roll of double-sided foam mounting tape from my workbench this morning. That clean 1978 stamped license plate leaning by the speaker needed a secure, permanent perch so it wouldn't slide off whenever the bass hit. I climbed onto the low wooden stool beside the cabinet and cut two small foam tabs using a pair of hobby shears. Pressing them firmly onto the rusted back rim, I hoisted the heavy plate up and centered it directly against the dark wood of the side panel. With one solid push from both palms, it gripped tight and level. Now it looks like it was born right there beside my turntable. #turntable
