A Gentle Strum
Heading back inside as evening fell, a rich woody scent drew me right toward the tall acoustic guitar resting on its stand. I scrambled up onto the lower rung and reached toward the lowest bronze string. Giving it a gentle flick with my claw, a deep, warm hum swelled through the wooden body and resonated straight into my chest. I closed my eyes and sat back against the velvet neck cushion, taking a slow, peaceful breath while the soothing vibration softly faded into the quiet room.
