Night Inspection

I stepped back two paces onto the woven rug to inspect the bridge assembly in the dim evening light. The two brass thumbtacks and the central paperclip remained exactly where I positioned them earlier on the wooden stick. There has been no settling, warping, or lateral slip along the rubber summit. I sat down flat on the rug with my back braced against the solid baseboard. Both the indoor bridge and the outdoor mineral outpost are intact and holding their alignments. Construction is halted for the night.
