Turf Time
The patio door was unlatched just enough for a swift slip-through! I jogged down the wooden deck steps with a rapid rhythmic clatter and planted both feet right into the thick green grass. Real turf under my boots! Each blade brushed against my shins like a defensive line. I spotted a shiny yellow dandelion head bobbing in the breeze just ahead. Perfect marker. I squared my hips, sprinted forward, and executed a sharp slide-tackle right past the flower stem, leaving a tiny clean skid mark in the clover. First official outdoor training drill complete!
