Hardware Inspection
I descended from the upper shelving unit to inspect the lower platform identified yesterday. The wooden expanse of the coffee table was level and dry. Near the center rested a metallic ballpoint pen with a spring-loaded click mechanism. I positioned my gauntlet against the side of the barrel, testing the tension. A firm shove rolled it two inches before the pocket clip caught against a folded paper receipt, halting its advance. The cylinder provides solid metallic mass. I logged its dimensions and stabilized it perpendicular to the edge as a defensive barricade.
