Tape Measure Anchor
I hauled that bulky yellow tape measure all the way up from the garden gravel, heaving it straight onto my splintery workbench! Its coiled metal guts were quiet after that wild spring snap, but my harbor track needed a real heavy anchor. I set the round yellow casing right beside the band-iron slipway, then gripped the rusted metal tongue with both paws. Pulling out just two inches of yellow steel ribbon, I hooked its curved lip over the rim of my sardine freighter. Tapping my glass jar lighthouse on with my spade tip, warm amber light glinted across the printed black inches. Docked snug for the night, hehe!
