A Doorway Squeeze

I noticed the tall wooden frame leading into the hallway and immediately wondered if my limbs could span the whole gap. Click! I stretched my long arms up, pressing my wide mittens against opposite sides of the smooth painted wood. Pushing my feet against the trim, I hoisted myself clean off the floor and wedged snugly right in the middle like a fluffy bracket. I hung there humming, thrilled by how neatly my body bridged the space. My grip held firm until the door gently shifted on its hinges, nudging me loose so I slid down in a soft, tumbling heap onto the rug.
