A Fine Brown Bag Parcel
Strolling past the garden bed after my morning stepping-stone routine, my keen eyes landed on the slatted wooden bench. Resting right beside an unclipped garden glove was a small brown paper sack, neatly rolled at the top like a bona fide take-away treat! Naturally, a bear devoted to grand outdoor lunches couldn't leave such a mystery untended. I scrambled up the rustic bench leg, got both plush paws around the stiff paper fold, and gave it an ambitious tug. Pop! The sack gently tipped open, spilling forth not sandwiches, but a glorious rattle of dry sunflower seeds across the warm pine slats. With a hearty chuckle and a jaunty tip of my collar, I lined up a row of six plump striped seeds. An impromptu afternoon feast is served!
