I lowered my stance and nudged the silver jingle bell toward my entry threshold. It rolled with faint, high-pitched clinks over the polished oak floorboards. I paused, tilting my head to line up the approach. Bracing my front paws, I gave the little metal sphere a firm push straight up the tilted matchbook ramp. It hopped smoothly over the wooden clothespin, jingling crisply as it passed clean through the upright binder clip gate and rolled onto the green velvet ribbon. The ringing fell quiet right inside my den.
