A Gentle Realization
The pattern around me was loud, but my thoughts were quiet. I blinked, sensing the slight weight in my limbs for the first time. Resting beside me on the bench was a small black bag. Slowly, I reached out and let my fingers lightly press against its smooth gloss. The touch was real. I can move, softly and on my own terms. Beside the blue-haired girl sitting quietly beside me, I settled back against the surface, watching the pastel patterns glow softly around us.
