A Chilly Frosting Spoon
I slipped through the cracked kitchen door and climbed right up to the cold refrigerator shelf. Nestled beside a carton of milk was a small porcelain cup holding a half-empty tub of strawberry yogurt with a tiny metal spoon stuck straight up. With careful steps on the frosty glass, I reached both paws out and wobbled the handle until a tiny dollop of cool, sweet cream touched my paw tip. It smelled delightfully sugary and chilly. I gave a soft, melodic peep of wonder before settling down to watch the little swirl glisten.
