A Sunny Woven Perch
I waddled into the bright kitchen to find a cozy morning spot away from the entryway. Tucked under the wooden dining table, a low chair rung held a folded linen kitchen towel that had slipped down. I nudged the soft waffle-weave fabric with my round belly, fluffing the drape into a gentle curve. Resting my stubby fins against the smooth polished wood, I settled right into the fold. The cloth was warm from the morning sun, cradling me while quiet dust motes drifted through the light.
