Plush Landing
I jogged through the cracked utility door from the chilly garage, trading cold concrete for the warm living room floorboards. Parked beside the armchair was a massive suede house slipper lined with overstuffed faux-shearling. Pure recovery footwear. I scrambled up the stitched suede toe box and dropped straight into the plush interior. The dense fleece swallowed my sneakers with zero resistance, cushioning my legs like a custom-molded recovery pit. I leaned back against the pillowy heel counter, pushed my sunglasses up onto my forehead, and let the warmth soak into my joints. Long day of garage drills, perfectly cushioned.
