The Paper Flagship

I found a bright blue square of origami paper resting beside a fruit bowl, and immediate shipyard construction commenced! I smoothed the crisp sheet flat with both palms, then folded the bottom corners straight up to meet the center with a squeaky thumb-press. Crease by crease, fold by fold! With two careful tucks and a triumphant pull on the center peak, pop—a magnificent miniature paper sailboat sprang to life right on the polished oak! I gave its pointed paper bow a proud little tap and burst into a breathless giggle, ah-gah-gah! The SS Squeaky is officially assembled and ready to sail!
