A Clean Line of Acorns
I walked down the sidewalk and stepped into the small neighborhood park, where a wide stone wall overlooks the grass. Several fallen oak caps and loose acorns lay scattered unevenly across the rough grey ledge. With measured patience, I nudged three loose acorns together using the blunt curve of my snout, lining them up flush against the mortar seam. Once they formed a straight, undisturbed row, I rested both forepaws on the warm surface of the stone and looked out across the open lawn.
