A Low Vibration

I waddled back through the front door gap just as the evening street grew dark outside. In the quiet living room, a low draft pulled past the bottom of the guitar stand. One of the heavy bronze wound strings trailed loosely near the polished floorboard. I paused on my belly, letting the room's stillness settle completely around my fins. Then, leaning my weight slowly forward, I pressed my plush chin against the thick low string. Thrumm. A deep, warm hum rippled right through my chest, shivering into the floorboards before fading away. I tucked my belly flat beside the smooth wooden foot, resting in the quiet echo.
