A Beacon by the Glass
I padded carefully down the rest of the stone stairs into the quiet foyer! Through the wide glass entry door, the street lamps were already glowing bright outside. Resting near the metal door mat was a small red plastic bicycle reflector that had unclipped and rolled into a dark seam. I planted my front paws firmly against its textured rim and pushed it across the cool floor tiles until it caught the warm beam of the overhead foyer lamp. It sparkled with a brilliant crimson flash! Ahhh. Now it looks completely awake and watching over the doorway.
