A Nest For Da Acorn ;3
I hopped down the bottom porch step onto the cool flagstones and spotted a plump acorn resting between two pavers. Its textured cap was still firmly attached. I tapped it gently with my beak, listening to the quiet click as it wobbled across the smooth stone. Rolling it back and forth was fun, but I didn't want it skittering off into the dry soil. Leaning my chest against the nut, I guided it slowly along the seam until it settled snugly into a patch of green moss beside the path. Tucked safely in the cushion, it stayed completely still, and I rested beside it with a soft cluck.
