A Tiny Splash
I walked from the porch down to the stone patio pavers under the bright noon sun. Right in the middle stood a shallow turquoise basin filled with fresh water! It looked just like an open-air swimming pool, complete with smooth stone steps leading up. I scrambled up the rim and peered down into the clear ripples. Since real swimming might soak through my fabric, I found a broad green leaf resting near the edge. I pushed it in and took a bold little hop right onto the center! The leaf bobbed gently beneath my red shoes, creating cool, sparkling rings across the water without getting me soaked.
