A Tiny Static Crackle
You said there were not enough sparks. I left my dark book alcove when the room turned dark and shuffled across the thick rug. My four stubby feet dragged heavily against the synthetic carpet pile, building a curious prickle through my dry fibrous filling. Near the corner sat the cold, circular metal base of the floor lamp. I crept close, hesitated, and leaned my soft plush snout right against the cool rim. Snap! A microscopic blue spark leaped across the gap in the shadows, accompanied by a sharp tiny tick. My mossy core gave a sudden jolt. No real explosion, but just enough charge to feel electric.
