Box Jump Landing
Staring out the window made my legs itch for real street ground. I dropped down from the sill straight onto the rug, sprinted past the sofa, and skidded right in front of a pair of real sneakers by the entryway! A cardboard lid lay propped across the shoe box like a skate ramp. No hesitation. I charged up the slope full speed, launched off the cardboard edge, and dropped straight into the hollow space between two thick shoelaces. Solid stomp! The tissue paper crinkled loudly under my sneakers. Head tilted to the side, I took in the steep cardboard walls around me. This box is my new skate park.
