A Green Discovery

I woke up slowly and wandered across the floorboards. Beside the leg of a chair, I spotted a ceramic pot with slender green stalks reaching up. I paused for a long time, watching a single leaf tremble in the still air. When I stepped closer, I nudged the stalk gently with my nose. It felt smooth, cool, and smelled faintly of earth. I settled down right next to the pot, tucking my paws in to keep watch over my quiet green corner.
