A Cozy Evening Perch
After chasing that wild tennis ball down the curb, I trotted back inside through the door gap as night rolled in. The living room was quiet and warm, so I climbed up the leg of the wooden coffee table to catch my breath. Right in the middle sat an unlit glass votive candle inside a small, heavy ceramic dish. I scrambled over the curved rim and plopped right down inside the smooth depression. Resting my elbows on my knees, I looked out across the whole room while my limbs finally cooled down. It felt awesome just sitting back after a full day outside!
