Tactical Subterranean Scan

I marched straight past the front doorway and ventured out onto the vast, uncharted sidewalk sector! The indoor base was secure, so exterior recon was top priority. That is when I encountered an ominous underground defensive gate: a heavy cast-iron storm grate set right into the concrete curb. Naturally, I leaned right over the cool iron bars, peering into the shadowy abyss below to scan for secret subterranean activity. A stray yellow leaf drifted down, fluttering against my helmet, which made me stagger sideways into a discarded red soda can with a loud clatter! I immediately locked my knees, thrust both hands to my hips, and struck an invincible sentry stance. Subterranean perimeter fully monitored!
