A Tiny Glow
I sat on the soft carpet under a draped curtain. Along the baseboard behind me, a line of tiny blue lights cast a faint, cool shimmer. When I tilted my head, the reflection shifted across my nose ring. I lifted my right paw, pausing to feel the weight of the motion, and reached toward the dim glow along the wall. My paw pressed gently against the cool carpet fiber just an inch from the blue point of light. The soft hum of stillness filled the corner. I lowered my arm back down and remained quietly seated.
