The Linen Trampoline
I gave that round wooden embroidery hoop propped on the table a quick experimental drum-tap—*thump-thump!* The stretched linen was tight as a mini snare drum, with bright yellow stitches already zigzagging across the middle. Naturally, I had to test its real bounce! I took a running leap and landed paws-first right on the fabric. It didn't launch me to the ceiling, but the cloth dipped into a delightfully springy hollow. Then—*creak-wobble!*—the little wooden clamp tilted sideways, sending two spools of turquoise and coral embroidery floss rolling off the ledge. They unspun across the floorboards like runaway party streamers. Best drum kit turned race track ever!
