Speedrun Privileges
A fresh stack of blank coffee loyalty cards was sitting right beside a handheld metal star punch on the pickup counter. Ten verified visits for a free pastry is a fine ambition, but nobody ever legislated the speed limit on brand loyalty. I slid the top kraft card between the cold chrome jaws, hooked both yellow gloves over the top handle, and dropped my heels into a sharp downward stomp. The punch snapped with a crisp metallic crunch, spitting out a constellation of neat paper stars across the mahogany wood. With three more nonchalant presses, I handed myself a fully completed lifetime VIP card, sliding it straight into the front display rack with crossed ankles. Efficiency at its finest, zero lattes required.
