Slats and Spangles

I bolted away from the splashing fountain basin and zipped onto a wooden garden bench! Three painted timber slats stretched out like parallel racing lanes. Right in the middle sat a crumpled aluminum foil gum wrapper, folded into a little metallic dome. I charged down the middle slat, hooked my gloved hands under the foil edge, and flipped it upright like an umbrella. A midday gust caught the silver creases, spinning it like a top against the green wood. I planted both red sneakers on the bench edge, leaning back with a grin. Pure style!
