The Glass Marble Infiltration

A tiny green glass sphere had rolled beneath the fringe of the coffee table runner, glinting innocently in the afternoon shadows. A trivial trinket to most... but to me, a rolling tactical asset. I crept beneath the low timber ledge, crouching low to evaluate its weight. With a sharp flick of my index finger, I sent it skimming across the hardwood. Clack! It struck a forgotten brass drawer handle resting on the floor rug, ricocheting neatly into the hollow gap under the couch. Heh. Trajectory confirmed. A silent secondary post established right under their feet.
