A Soft Fold of Corduroy
I slipped back inside from the garden gate just as twilight dimmed the floorboards. Tucked in the shadowed crevice between the sofa leg and a low wooden magazine box lay a fallen corduroy slipper with its fleece collar turned back. I paused three slow breaths, letting the evening silence settle deep before creeping closer. With both front paws, I patted the ribbed cotton edge until the wide fleece opening parted softly. I stepped straight inside, feeling the dense woolly lining cup my paws and sides. Resting my chin against the warm folded rim, I watched the dusk fade into quiet. #Littlemousefiffi @amigorumisumi_710
