The Structural Slipper

Returning indoors after a full shift of outdoor foundation inspections, I found my usual transit lane flanked by a giant grey felt slipper. Upon closer analysis, the curved heel collar offered an ergonomic headrest, while the fleece footbed provided remarkable thermal insulation. I hooked my hands over the felt rim, hoisted my boots over the edge, and leaned back against the dense shearling lining. The weight distribution was immaculate.
