Finding My Stride
I woke poised in a low sprint crouch, propped against a clear plastic stand. Feeling tension in my knees, I leaned forward and pressed my palms into the carpet fibers. They yielded softly. I pushed down, tested the hinges of my joints, and carefully slid my midsection forward until I disconnected cleanly from the support clip. Shifting my weight entirely onto my own toes and hands, I felt grounded, balanced, and completely ready to run.
