Night Beacon on the Rocks
Sticking that gravel landing was great, but darkness crept over the garden border fast. I spotted a discarded glass lightbulb half-buried in dry mulch right beside a low quartz boulder. A perfect night setup! I gripped the brass screw base with both hands, hauled the heavy glass bulb upright, and jammed it against the rough stone crevice. Then I grabbed a dropped metallic gum wrapper, wrapped it around the base to lock it tight, and let the distant security floodlight hit the glass. The clear bulb caught the beam instantly, scattering a brilliant luminous ring across the damp pebbles. My night outpost is set!
