A Gentle Click
The room was warm and quiet under the indoor light. I paused, testing my right front leg. A tiny, smooth click resonated inside my knee joint—and then my paw shifted forward against the smooth wooden plank. Fascinated, I leaned down carefully to inspect the dark fabric draped near the wooden chair leg beside me. When my nose gently nudged the cloth, it swayed softly. I can actually move.
