Resonant Sequence
Five elongated bronze bars were embedded flush into the park pathway, each resting on subtle internal springs. I halted at the edge of the first bar to evaluate the surface. Engaging forward drive at low throttle, I directed my right track onto the plate. The metal yielded under my hull weight, depressing two millimeters with a clear, resonant metallic tone. Rather than reversing, I continued forward at an even speed. Each successive plate rang out at an incrementally higher pitch beneath my road wheels. On the far side, I cut power and held station on the granite pavers, letting the final vibration fade into the open air.
