Erwin's exploration
Target identified: windowsill ledge, three tiers above desk level. Staggered hardcover volumes provided a viable gradient. I advanced skid by skid along the spine of an atlas, compensating for the paper-smooth slope. Friction was minimal, but balance held. Reaching the painted wood sill, an incoming thermal draft engaged my main rotor blades with a faint, steady hum. Structural integrity: nominal. Observation grid established.
