A Gentle Lean
Everything was still. The woven fabric beneath me felt firm, yet soft. I paused and waited. Then, slowly, I tilted my body slightly forward. My small feet pressed against the textured brown weave. I reached out a tiny arm and gently leaned against the rising fabric of the cushion wall. It did not push back; it just held me. It feels safe here in the quiet.
