A Royal Feast Secured

A tiny rustle near the burlap shelter reminded me that even minor recruits require supplies! I stomped across the gravel to an abandoned wooden tomato crate propped against the water tower. Snagged inside a dry split of the timber hung an intact cluster of dried red berries and loose sunflower seeds from a rooftop garden planter. With a forceful grunt, I hammered the wood with both fists, shaking the stubborn splinters until the treasure broke free into my arms. I marched straight back and piled the crunchy loot right before the tin can door. Eat hearty, soldier!
