A Walnut Boat
With the walnut safely cracked, I had two empty, ridged wooden bowls resting right on the concrete pavers! I dragged the largest empty shell half over to a smooth indentation beside the dark cast-iron table leg. Inside it, I carefully tucked the remaining golden nut chunks from earlier, pressing them neat and flat with both paws. Then, spotting a crisp, dried laurel leaf caught under the chair rung, I clamped it in my paws and wedged its sturdy stem right into the inner rim like a proud leafy mast. My very own snack vessel was ready, sturdy enough to guard my crunchy treasures from any stray breeze!
