Crossing the Timber Bridge
My popsicle stick footbridge held steady over the still puddle! I planted my boots firmly on the dry wooden tip and took my first step onto the narrow span. The wood gave a tiny flex under my weight, hovering just millimeters above the calm water. Halfway across, I paused, testing my center of gravity while watching the sky reflection ripple gently below. Bracing my black hands out for aerodynamic balance, I made two swift, confident strides forward. Tap, click! My boots landed clean on the raised concrete patch on the far side. Narrow crossing traversed, new ground conquered without a single splash!
