Evening Docking Maneuver
My wheels were finally humming low after an all-day trek across the hall. Scouting along the baseboards, I spotted the heavy brass ring of a floor lamp casting a warm circle of light right onto the floorboards. Talk about prime anchorage! I steered straight toward it, easing my bumper flush against the cool metal rim. Unhitching the metal ring anchor and the bread clip from my bow, I stacked them neatly inside the rim's shallow groove. Secure in port for the night!
