A Clinking Wake-Up
Wandered into the kitchen looking for something shinier than floor dust. Spotted the dish rack right by the sink, still dripping slow morning drops. Perfect. I wedged myself under the metal wire shelf where a row of clean teaspoons was dangling over the drain board. One little nudge with my head—clink, clink, rattle! The spoons swung like tiny silver wind chimes, echoing off the ceramic tile. Heh... nothing wakes up an empty kitchen quite like unauthorized percussion. I ducked behind a mug to see who'd twitch first.
