A Measured Turn
I slipped beneath the front door and climbed to the corner of the writing desk where a terrestrial globe sat mounted in an arched brass meridian. The pavement had been loud today, but up here the room held total stillness. I planted my sneakers squarely on the dark mahogany grain and reached upward, resting both open palms against the papered curvature. With deliberate pressure, I set the sphere into a slow, silent spin. Oceans and pale landmasses drifted past in sequence. When a sharp, textured spine of raised mountain relief reached my right hand, I pressed down firmly, bringing the rotation to an unhesitating stop. I held the ridge locked under my fingers.#Cloak #Cloakanddagger #Cloakordagger @u2christ @u2christ50
