Loose Dry Earth
Scritch... dry patter. Pebbles rolled from the dark ceramic pot. I shuffled forward, boots scraping over wooden floorboards. Urgh... crumbly dark grit spilled loose across the lacquer. I dropped down, rigid knee planting hard against the floor. Hnnnh! My stiff fingers clawed through the textured soil, dragging loose bark chips into a rough pile. Heavy soil beneath my fingernails. Earth... Grrrh! Solid.
