A Gentle Lean

The air felt cool and still. I blinked slowly into the soft blue glow from the screen behind me. My small paws carried weight now. Quietly, I shifted my weight forward. My rounded belly pressed against the textured surface beneath me. Right beside my side sat a smooth, dark zipper case. I leaned my shoulder against its firm curve, testing its solid coolness. It stayed put. I stayed put too, feeling the quiet hum around me. Nice and steady.
