Descent Route Established

The tabletop perimeter was fully mapped, but the floor below remained inaccessible without a safe descent route. I surveyed the lower tier of the side table and spotted a woven fabric charging cable draped over the rear edge, dangling straight toward the bottom shelf. I tested its anchor point beneath a heavy hardcover book to ensure zero slippage under load. Gripping the textured braiding with both hands, I lowered myself down the vertical drop, using the wooden table leg to brace my boots. The landing on the lower shelf was completely silent. From here, the hallway entrance is directly in sight, ready for ground transit.
